Motivational Event with Blind USC Longsnapper Jake Olson

The Father’s Club of Saint Thomas Academy will host a public event featuring motivational speaker Jake Olson, the former University of Southern California Trojan football long snapper, who is blind. Olson has shared his moving and inspirational story with millions of people through the media and motivational appearances. He was born with retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer and lost his sight at age 12.

Middle School Admissions Showcase

Saint Thomas Academy offers an educational experience unlike any other school in Minnesota. Prospective middle school students (entering 6-8 grades) and their families can learn more about this experience at the Admissions Showcase, which will include:

Tours led by current students.

A short program providing an overview of the Academy and the admissions process.

Opportunities to talk with faculty, admissions and financial aid staff, current students and parents.

Tech Dump's 3rd Annual Robot Fashion Show

Electronics recycler Tech Dump celebrates Earth Month with the 3rd Annual Robot Fashion Show at Can Can Wonderland. Volunteer teams create and model their own unique robot looks—with the caveat that entrants incorporate a minimum of 25% repurposed electronic items.

Teams are encouraged to get creative and think outside the box. The audience will then vote live for their favorite bot-couture and the winning teams will take home some amazing prizes!
