Tangletown Classic Wreath Workshop

Join Tangletown Gardens staff as we demonstrate wreath making ideas and share tips and tricks on how to keep your winter wreath looking great through the winter. Workshop admission includes instruction and design materials featuring a variety of seasonal greens including uber fresh local balsam fir, boxwood and magnolia, as well as interesting accessories such as sugar cones, branches, and botanical elements. Choose three yards of ribbon from our extensive selection and enjoy complimentary beverage while making your custom, door-sized wreath. 

Tangletown Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop

A centerpiece is a beautiful addition to any Thanksgiving table! Join Tangletown Gardens staff as we demonstrate and share tips and tricks on how to make a festive Thanksgiving centerpiece. Workshop admission includes instruction and design materials including a variety of seasonal greens, add ons such as seasonal branches, cones, autumn berries, ribbon and more for your own custom creation. Includes a complimentary beverage.

Celebrate winter with outdoor arrangements on your front entry, porch or deck that will look great for months! Tangletown Gardens is known for using unique elements in our winter containers that go beyond fresh greens, cones and birch. We've been collecting and sourcing these elements for months and we can’t wait to share them with you! Come see our unique selection and learn the secrets of keeping your pots looking great through the winter. 

There’s no experience necessary. Bring your own container, or choose one from our large selection. 

Gather & Plant: Pumpkin Vessel Workshop

Join Tangletown Gardens staff at our October workshop where you’ll make a beautiful plant-based arrangement- using a pumpkin as a vessel! Enjoy a complimentary beverage while creating unique centerpieces and celebrating the fall season. Workshop fee includes all materials necessary to create one living arrangement in a pumpkin, as well as hands-on assembly and design instructions. Tickets for this workshop are $50.

Tangletown Gardens' Annual Pumpkin Fest

Join us for our annual Pumpkin Fest, celebrating all things pumpkin! Shop our wide selection of marvelous gourds and unique pumpkins in many shapes and colors, all locally grown. Experience our pumpkin photo booth, pumpkin painting, farmers market and other fun fall activities! This family-friendly event is free and a perfect way to spend a fall day.

Gather & Plant: Fall Dress Your Doorstep

Join us at our fall planting event to create beautiful fall containers full of cool, weather-tolerant plants for your porch, patio, or balcony! Tangletown Gardens staff will be on hand for demonstrations and to assist with complimentary design & planting services. Choose your container (or bring your own), choose your fall weather plants and accents and plant it up (or we can plant it for you) right at our potting station. Additional activities will  include fall grapevine wreath making, a fully-stocked potting station and other fall fun!

Houseplant Extravaganza!

New Season, New Plant! Fall is a great time to introduce more house plants into your space as this tends to be the time of year we begin to see less greenery outside! Indoor houseplants make a great addition to any home, regardless of size. House plants have personality, they make us happy and healthy, and can be easy to take care of- even for a plant parent newbie. 

Gather & Plant: Staghorn Fern Workshop

Join Tangletown staff at our September workshop where you’ll mount your very own Staghorn Fern onto a rustic wooden board while enjoying a complimentary beverage. We’ll teach you the proper method to mount these dramatic ferns, named for their long antler-like fronds. Completed mounts are easy to care for and make beautiful additions to any home or garden. Your workshop fee includes all materials necessary to create one staghorn fern mount, as well as hands-on assembly and care instructions.

Taste the Waste Happy Hour

Featuring a happy hour menu transforming recovered food into small plates by The Bird and speciality cocktails from Marco Zappia (Beverage Director, Colita and Martina) for an incredible experience.
