The VOID’s Jumanji: Reverse the Curse Virtual Reality Experience

Jumanji: Reverse the Curse gives fans the ability to truly enter another game, taking on the form of its heroes, Dr. Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Professor Oberon and “Mouse” Finbar, to save Jumanji from a new dark and mysterious villain. Fans will be enlisted on a daring quest to rescue the Scepter of Se’payu containing the Red Jewel of Jumanji and return it to the temple from which it was stolen. MacPhail Free Family Music Series: Orkestar Bez Ime

Orkestar Bez Ime [or-KESS-tar behz EE-meh], meaning “orchestra without a name” in Bulgarian, was formed in 2002 to recreate the sounds of the village with a presentation as festive as the music itself. Focusing on Eastern Europe and music of the Rom (“Gypsy”) people, OBI’s repertoire reaches from Albania to Ukraine, with plenty of stops in between. Orkestar Bez Ime is a winner of the 2011-2012 McKnight Artist Fellowships for Performing Musicians administered by MacPhail Center for Music and a recipient of a 2012 Minnesota Emerging Composers Award from the American Composers Forum. The Warming House’s Open Mic for Kids

If your child sings or plays an instrument, The Warming House’s Kids’ Open Mic is their chance to bring their show out into the public.

Kids who want to perform should bring one to three songs. Adults may support kids, for example, providing accompaniment for a singer, but the kids are the stars. Go to thewarminghouse.net for details. Every third Thursday; 6 p.m. (Show up a few minutes early to sign up to perform.) Free. Donations welcome. The 29th Annual Stillwater Nutcracker

The Stillwater Nutcracker, now in its 29th year, is a family-friendly version of the classical ballet, choreographed to the music of Tchaikovsky, and follows the traditional story line of the young girl named Clara and her Christmas dream. Our version includes a live narration and the exuberant dancing of children from the age of five through professional level dancers who grace the show with beauty and spirit.
