Lyndale Gardens Want You!

Use your green thumb for good.

Got a green thumb and ready to use it? Consider volunteering at Lyndale Park Gardens with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Opportunities abound, says environmental stewardship volunteer coordinator Sherry Brooks. Beginning Wednesday mornings in May, “Peacekeepers” help tend the Peace Garden. A little later, “Deadheaders” start working on Saturday mornings to keep the Rose Garden in glorious, extended bloom. Perennial gardeners, ask about a new group starting up this summer. Brooks adds that more opportunities can be found through the Men’s and Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis.
