Muddy Paws hosted its 23rd annual cheesecake sampling event at its SLP bakery last December, featuring a toy drive, pet food collection, local makers’ crafts bazaar and live music.

Daniel Ignatowicz’s photo “Hungry” garnered second place in the Wildlife & Nature category of the Picture the Park 2015 photo contest with its sweet image of an active creature on a mission. Ignatowicz didn’t need to travel far to take the still of the caterpillar chomping.

While their son, Mitch, (SLPHS Class of 2013) was in Cannes for a study abroad program last fall, parents David and Sue Rotert visited France, and the three spent a day in Grenoble, in the French Alps.

Westwood Hills resident Kim Sherman remembers when she first joined her local book club a decade ago. She was new to the neighborhood and didn’t know many people in the area. Meeting neighbors and relying on them as resources helped build a feeling of security.
