The Essential Back-to-school Snack from Kowalski’s

Students no longer need to head straight for the potato chips after school with this tasty—and healthy—recipe. Sometimes a refreshment is just what they need, especially at the beginning of the school year when the warmth of summer still clings to the air. Rachael Perron, culinary and branding director at Kowalski’s, recommends a smoothie as a delicious after-school snack.

Kowalski’s Total Health Boost Smoothies

2 cups of ice
1 apple, cored and chopped
2 ripe pears, cored and chopped
2 peeled bananas
1 ½ cups low-fat plain Greek yogurt
1 cup frozen cherries, thawed
½ cup water

Combine your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add a little water to thin the smoothie.
