This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against this disease!

4th Annual Spam F.C. Scholarship Soccer Tournament

Spam F.C. Scholarship Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit based in St. Louis Park that was started by a group of childhood friends. The organization is driven by the collective passion of soccer and the idea of given back to the community in which they grow up.

For the past 4 years, Spam F.C. has hosted a scholarship soccer tournament to raise money to help students pay for housing, books and other college related expenses.

Organization Description: Hammer Residences, Inc. is a Minnesota non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 1923 by Alvina Hammer, Hammer provides residential caring support for adult and children with developmental disabilities. Hammer Residences, Inc. serves more than 1500 individuals with a wide range of intellectual disabilities like Autism and Down syndrome. 275 adults reside in 36 group homes and 10 apartment programs in the western suburbs of Minneapolis.

Breanna’s Star: a Night of Art, Celebration and Giving

Breanna’s Star is a Night of Art, Celebration and Giving in support of Breanna’s Gift, an organization bringing classes & workshops in visual arts, dance, music, theater and “Art Takeout” to children at Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest and Children’s Minnesota in St. Paul and Minneapolis. The event includes appetizers, wine and beer, silent and live auctions, a make-it-yourself art project and entertainment by country/rock/swing band Trailer Trash. Attire is casual.

Alzheimer’s Association Purple Gala – 25th Anniversary

Alzheimer’s Association annual Purple Gala is a time to celebrate and honor the
lives of people impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The evening
includes a reception and silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner, live
auction, entertainment, and after party with a live band. Proceeds from the
Gala raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.


Park Tavern's Annual Rock The Lot Party

On Saturday, September 17th,
Park Tavern will host its annual lot party from 1pm – 5pm with food and drink
specials, live music, and fun for all ages. The event is free to attend.    

Park Tavern will partner with The Gift of Music,
a local program that supplies kids with instruments and music lessons, to raise
money and encourage instrument donations to the program. 

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman to speak at St. Louis Park High School

Three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author Thomas Friedman, columnist for the New York Times, will speak on "Writing for the New York Times but always looking for Minnesota" to raise support, awareness and funds for the St. Louis Park Public Schools Foundation. Mr. Friedman is a 1971 graduate of St. Louis Park Senior High School and the Foundation is eager to recognize him as an outstanding and loyal alumnus. Proceeds from the event will help fund grants in reading, math and science, the arts and transtional programs to SLP public schools and early childhood programs.
