David Spade Headlines Laugh Out Loud Twin Cities

The third annual Laugh Out Loud Twin Cities (LOLTC), fundraiser for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare will be held Saturday, September 27 at the Hilton Hotel, 1001 Marquette Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Camden’s Concert

Camden Mona was just a few days old when he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a disease that affects about 30,000 people across the United States. Today, Camden is a healthy 6-year-old with a deep love for music, a love that inspired the launch of a benefit concert to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation three years ago. This year, the Wright Brothers, popular Minnesota State Fair performers, with be playing at the event. They have been delighting Minnesota audiences for years with a repertoire that ranges from Elton John to the Eagles.

Red Ribbon Ride Benefit Rock Show

Come to support a great cause, stay for the rock and roll! Fifty Foot Canoe, Velahsa and Smilin' Cowboys will perform to support the Red Ribbon Ride, which raises funds and awareness to support eight Minnesota AIDS service organizations including: the African American AIDS Task Force, the Aliveness Project, Clare Housing, the Hope House of St. Croix Valley, the Minnesota AIDS Project, Park House, One Heartland and the Rural AIDS Action Network.

Meet the night's guests of honor: Senator Bonoff and Representative Selcer, authors of SF 1975.  SF 1975 was the first bill to put the count in accountability, mandating public safety reporting by programs offering credit to Minnesota's students in foreign countries.

Cody's Dash

This year marks the fourth annual Cody's Dash for Down Syndrome to benefit GiGi's Playhouse! Get moving for a great cause. Sign up for a 5K run/walk, a 1-mile walk, or a kids' dash, followed by an afternoon of big fun: music, face painting, food trucks, balloons and more.

All proceeds will benefit GiGi's Playhouse and the free programs and services they provide to the Down syndrome community throughout the Twin Cities. 

Huge Sale at Benilde-St. Margaret's School

The sale will showcase new and gently-used clothing, accessories, jewelry, furniture, household items, sports equipment, electronics, books, toys, games, garden and pet supplies, home office, holiday decorations and much more. There is even a boutique with upscale name brands.

There will also be a huge one-day sale with $3 early-bird entry at 8:00 a.m., a half-price sale at 1:00 p.m., and a $5 bag sale at 3:00 p.m.

Reach for Resources 22nd Annual Bowl-A-Thon

Spend a day at the lanes for a good cause! Reach for Resources serves people with cognitive disabilities and promotes health and fitness for their clients. Bowlers can participate with a minimum donation that  includes two bowling games, lunch, and a T-shirt. 952.988.4177.

Dream Big: 2014 Groves Gala

Groves Academy in St. Louis Park, which focuses on students grades one through 12 with learning disabilities and attention disorder, will host its annual gala to raise money for student scholarships. This year’s event will feature a silent auction and presentation by keynote speaker Cinthia Coletti Haan, founder and CEO of the Coletti/Haan Foundation for Children in San Francisco.  952.920.6377.
