Sing, Play, Learn! with MacPhail® presents its first Sensory Friendly concert for children of all abilities, including those on the autism spectrum and with sensory sensitivities. As part of the Free Family Music Series, this program will include:
For the Kids
If your child sings or plays an instrument, The Warming House’s Kids’ Open Mic is their chance to bring their show out into the public.
Kids who want to perform should bring one to three songs. Adults may support kids, for example, providing accompaniment for a singer, but the kids are the stars. Go to thewarminghouse.net for details. Every third Thursday; 6 p.m. (Show up a few minutes early to sign up to perform.) Free. Donations welcome.
The Stillwater Nutcracker, now in its 29th year, is a family-friendly version of the classical ballet, choreographed to the music of Tchaikovsky, and follows the traditional story line of the young girl named Clara and her Christmas dream. Our version includes a live narration and the exuberant dancing of children from the age of five through professional level dancers who grace the show with beauty and spirit.
Tickets $21 for reserved seating

Visit with Santa and Albert the Elf at Bachman's on Lyndale! The holiday season begins with a play, sing-along, live music and more!
Albert the Elf has been invited to the hottest dance at the North Pole, but there’s just one problem: He’s worried he can’t dance. Santa is ready and willing to dish out helpful tips on how to boogie, but Albert’s not sure he can trust his old friend for advice on the dance floor. Will Albert gather the courage he needs to bust a move with his best elves, or will his wavering confidence keep him from enjoying the most exciting event of the season?
Justin Lansing and Joe Mailander have been exploring the outdoors together since they were kids. Now, as the Grammy-winning Okee Dokee Brothers, they write songs to encourage kids and families to get outside and get creative. Their brand new album Winterland is a tribute to the season of coziness, family time, and outdoor fun!
