The Tiny Diner Farmers’ Market is back for it’s 5th season of providing fresh, locally grown food and great events to Minneapolis community. This year we have condensed our markets to take place in August and September when our farmers’ are experiencing the true bounty of the season. Come to the Tiny Diner market to find the best that our local farmers and producers have to offer as well as locally made crafts and art.
This year we have packed the market calendar with amazing events co-hosted with community organizations. From dog costume parades to celebrating Minneapolis biking trails to hosting a herd of baby goats, Tiny Diner Farmers’ Market has got something for everyone!
This market season will kick-off with an ice cream social. We’ll have many delicious kinds of homemade ice cream for you to sample while you meet this season’s line-up of amazing farmers, producers and artisans. Market Science will also be there with fun food-based science experiments. You won’t want to miss it!
The Tiny Diner Farmers’ Market takes place every Thursday in August and September from 5:00-8:00pm in the Tiny Diner parking lot (1024 E 38th St Minneapolis).

August 2nd- Ice Cream Social with Market Science
Celebrate the first market of the season with free homemade ice cream and a sweet conversation with Market Science!
August 9th- Bike Power Day with Farmstead Bikes and Midtown Greenway Coalition
Kick-off Powderhorn 24 Bike Race at the farmers’ market! Talk with Midtown Greenway Coalition about the Greenway Extension Project and get a free tune-up from Farmstead Bike Shop. Added perk: if you ride your bike to the market get discounts on food and drink!
August 16th- Dog Costume Parade with People and Pets Together and Second Hand Hound
Bring your furry friends to strut their stuff in our second annual dog costume parade! Vote for your favorite dog and help raise money that will provide supplies to low-income pet owners. Don’t have a dog to bring? No problem! Talk with Second Hand Hounds about pet adoption and meet some their amazing foster dogs.
August 23rd- Kid’s Open Mic Night with Warming House
Come be amazed at this showcase of the incredibly talented children of the Twin Cities! These kids dance, sing, tell jokes--you name it! Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you know a talented kid who would like to perform.
August 30th-World Water Week with Water Bar and Master Water Stewards
To celebrate World Water Week, the market is teaming up with Water Bar to bring a water from all over Minnesota for you to sample. Chat with Master Water Stewards about what we can all do to protect and enjoy our amazing aquifers, lakes, and streams.
September 6th- Chicken Play Day with Egg/Plant Farm Supply
Egg/Plant Farm Supply is back with information on urban chicken raising. Interested in raising chickens in the city? Egg/Plant staff have years of experience and answers to all of your chicken questions!
September 13th- Baby Goats with Goat Shine
The baby goats are baaaack! Available for holding, petting, Instagramming. Need we say more?
September 20th- Community Sing with Janet Skidmore
Participate in a part of Minneapolis history by joining us for a farmer’s market edition of a Community Sing. All singing levels encouraged! Song books will be provided.
September 27th-Tiny Diner Rooftop Honey Sampling with Mademoiselle Miel
Wondering what the bees on the Tiny Diner Rooftop have been doing all summer? Come chat with our resident beekeeper Mademoiselle Miel and taste some Minneapolis-made honey for yourself! She’ll also give updates about the hive as well as share some amazing honey recipes that you can make at home!
