Everyone wants a vet who will care about their pets as much as they do, and Lake Harriet Veterinary is dedicated to making sure its patients and their parents feel comfortable and relaxed while receiving first-rate veterinary care.

Veterinarians Jim and Cathy Sinning opened the clinic with the intent of making sure each patient received individualized care appropriate to their needs. Any pet owner knows that their animals love to lick, sniff and roll in almost anything, and Lake Harriet Veterinary keeps that in mind in all aspects of their clinic, says head of practice administration Wendy Novak. They use non-toxic cleaning solutions that will keep everyone safe. They make sure fresh air is running through the clinic at all times. They care about the outdoors environment, too—the floors are made from recycled tires so as to be a little kinder to the earth.

“[Jim and Cathy] wanted to make sure that they were doing things in a responsible way. They decided to have everything as green as possible in the clinic. [Environmentally friendly practices] are really important for them to have as the foundation of the clinic,” says Novak.

Their website features useful tips for pet owners, guides for recently adopted pets and a FAQ section for owners who want to make sure they’re taking care of their beloved pet correctly.
